The Finds (Here+Now)

Growing up, I knew I wanted to be a creative, though I wasn’t yet sure what that would look like.

I moved a lot growing up, and it made me aware of how much our surroundings can shape us. Just as I started getting used to something — a place, a rhythm, a routine — it often changed. Somewhere along the way, I learned to find a sense of belonging within myself, even when everything around me was shifting. I started paying attention to the things that made a place feel familiar, the rituals that made a day feel like mine, and the people and objects I formed attachments to.

That followed me into my work, too. I loved the idea of a creative career that could move with me — one with room for flexibility, independence, and a sense of meaning. I couldn’t quite find it, so I designed it.

That same idea of belonging is part of what led me here.

Here + Now started as a place to collect objects I genuinely wanted to live with, but over time, I started noticing a thread between them: in one way or another, they encouraged connection.

Some are meant to deepen the relationship you have with yourself. Some invite conversation with another person. Others can simply change the way you experience a space — objects that are useful, beautiful, tactile, or familiar enough that you want to keep them around.

Things that get used. Things that might start conversations. Things that can become part of a ritual or a memory. Things that, in some small way, invite you to be more present in the life you’re already living.
